Below are some of the most popular items that we serve on our Wedding and Special Events Buffets.  What we offer is plenty of fresh food, beautifully presented . . . our staff serves the food letting your guests know what they are getting…and helping them to feel taken care of!  Our chefs carve at the buffet.

From the Farm


Garlic grilled sirloin with Cabernet Mushrooms

BBQ Tri-Tip with Salsa Fresca or Lemony Peruvian Chimichuri

Hickory smoked, then long cooked brisket with either a classic BBQ sauce or Carolina BBQ sauce on the side

Soy ginger flank steak with mango salsa

Rosemary grilled lamb with Minted Tomato Salsa

Ginger grilled Pork Loin with sweet and spicy Red Onion Marmalade

Fig and Apple Stuffed Pork Loin with Zinfandel sauce

Grilled Whole Chicken Breast Sliced and Served

with Mango Salsa, Fire Roasted Pineapple Salsa or Mediterranean Tapenade

Castroville Artichoke Chicken simmered with artichokes, herbs and wine

Thai Coconut Chicken; Seared and braised with lemon, coconut and a bit of heat

A note about chicken!  Claire brines all of our poultry overnight before grilling, searing or braising.  This produces moist, tender chicken..ask her about it at our next tasting.


From the Sea


 (each of these can add 3-5.00 pp)

A note about farmed salmon:  We prefer to use Loch Duarte from Scotland.  Theirs is a closed loop farming system that is healthy for the fish and for the environment.  We can offer Atlantic farmed salmon, if you wish at a lower price.  For salmon in season, we try to get California King salmon…always priced at time of event.

(We are proud to follow the guidelines of the Monterey Bay Aquarium for sustainable seafood.)

Seared and braised local Sea Bass or Halibut

Wonderful additions:

Lemon Butter Caper Sauce with fresh dill

Thai Coconut sauce with holy basil, lemon grass and a hint of red chili

Savory Tuscan sauce with sundried tomatoes and herbs

Grilled Salmon with one of the following preparations:

Lime Cucumber Salsa, Sun Dried Tomato Pesto Cap and Chunky Mediterranean Tapenade or a lime cucumber salsa with toybox tomatoes.

Asiago Polenta with Castroville artichoke ragout

Butternut Squash Ravioli with Gorgonzola Cream Sauce topped with asiago and roasted pine nuts or brown sage butter

Wild Mushroom or Spinach and Cheese Ravioli with Pesto or Artichoke sauce

Pasta Primavera with herbs and a classic Béchamel and colorful vegetables

Ginger Sesame Grilled or Thai Coconut Tofu

Eggplant Asiago…layered with mozarella and long cooked Roma tomato sauce

Victoria’s Hippy Wild Rice Salad….brown rice, quinoa, faro, legumes with toasted nuts and dried fruits…tossed with garlic and lime

Gourmet Mac ‘n’ Cheese with crispy panko crust and sides of crumbled bacon, sautéed mushrooms and scallions

Gingered lentil salad with a hint of thyme and bits of earthy carrots

Fall strudel of root vegetables, sweet potatoes and herbs…wrapped in phyllo…a light crunch and then the warm comfort food within!

Wild Rice Salad with Roasted Nuts, Scallions and Colorful Dried Fruits

Saffron Risoni with Sun Dried Tomatoes, Pine Nuts and Feta

Pad Thai Rice Noodles- tossed with Sesame oil, mint, cilantro, roasted and crushed peanuts, lime and a touch of spice

Au Gratin Potatoes (way better than Mom ever made!)

Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Gourmet Mac and Cheese with a crispy panko crust…bacon, scallions and mushrooms on the side (we thought this was for the kids……but we all love it!)

Olive  Oil and Herb Grilled Seasonal Vegetables, includes: crookneck, zucchini, red bells and portobellos

East of Eden Mélange; A local mix of green beans, cauliflower, broccoli, and carrots, steamed al dente and and served with a roasted red pepper vinaigrette.

Sugar Snap Pea Salad with Jicama and Julienned  Carrots and a Sesame Vinaigrette

Classic Caprese…..with Swank Farms tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil and balsamic reduction

Lightly Grilled Asparagus with either sauteed tarragon mushrooms or roasted red bells

Summer Beans…steamed al dente and tossed with garlic and roasted red bells

Roasted Corn and Tomato Salad with red onions, lime, cilantro  and queso fresco

Moroccan Cherry Tomato and Cucumber salad tossed with red onion, cumin, star anise, coarse salt and freshly ground pepper and pepper, herbs olive oil and preserved lemons
